Sentiment Survey Results as of 11/18/2009

The AAII Investor Sentiment Survey measures the percentage of individual investors who are bullish, bearish, and neutral on the stock market for the next six months; individuals are polled from the ranks of the AAII membership on a weekly basis. Only one vote per member is accepted in each weekly voting period.   Sentiment Survey Results 11/11 to 11/18      Bullish 42.7% up 4.1%   AAII’s members were asked to finish this sentence: I feel that the direction of the stock market over the next 6 months will be: Bearish, Neutral, or Bullish. Neutral 25.5% up 2.7% Bearish 31.8% down 6.8%   Summary “This week's survey saw bullish sentiment rise to 42.7%, below its long-term average of 38.9%. Neutral sentiment rose to 25.5%, below the long-term average of 31.1%.
